Political Trust Status Of College Students In China

Political trust is an important dimension of citizen consciousness.The change of the level of political trust is a monitor of the status of social relations,as well as the indicator of the government to adjust the policy and reform system.College students are the future of the country,and to a certain extent,their political trust situation can predict and determine the overall status of the public identity.Good political trust is not only conducive to college students to establish the correct life goals,but also to make college students' behavior consciously in line with the interests of the state and the people.There are a series of changes and adjustments of the fields of economy,politics,culture,society and ecology in china.Therefore researching the political trust of college students and analyzing the factors of influencing their political trust is important to enhance political trust level of college students.And it is conducive to the smooth progress of China's socialist construction.In this paper,I use questionnaire survey method,interview method,literature analysis method and comparative analysis method.I studied the political trust of college students in five cities of Beijing,Shanghai,Shenzhen,Taiyuan and Chongqing.We analyzethe political trust of college students combining with three variables such as the government management performance,regional differences and differences in demographic characteristics.We also try to find out factors of affecting college students? political trust.The results show that the overall situation of contemporary college students 'political trust is good.But in the four dimensions of political trust,the level of trust showed a U-shaped features,namely the level of the political trust to political values and institutions is higher than the level of trust of government officials and staff.Evaluation of governance performance,differences in demographic characteristics and regional differences affect political trust of college students.The more positive students evaluate the performance of government,the higher political trust is.The correlation between differences in demographic characteristics and as well as the correlation between the regional differences and the level of trust are more complex.Finally,based on the results of the analysis,I put forward policy recommendations to enhance political trust,such as improving policy performance,doing a good job in government affairs publicity,promoting social equity,increasing the opportunity of political participation,accelerating the construction of ecological civilization.
