According to the procedure of “literature analysis-questionnaire compiling-fieldresearch-characteristics analysis-relationship analysis” and existing research, this studycompiles “College Students’ Trust on Government Questionnaire” and “CollegeStudents’ Attitudes towards Online Political Involvement Questionnaire” on the basis ofopen-questionnaire research. Employing explorative factor analysis and confirmatoryfactor analysis, this study confirms the inner structure of college students’ trust ongovernment and attitudes towards online political involvement. The characteristics ofcollege students’ trust on government and attitudes towards online political involvementhave also been discussed. In addition, this study makes a research on the relationshipbetween college students’ trust on government and attitudes towards online politicalinvolvement. The conclusions are chiefly follows:(1) the questionnaires compiled by this study have good reliability and validitywhich meets the psycho-metrics requirements. It means that they can be validquestionnaires to measure college students’ trust on government and attitudes towardsonline political involvement.(2) college students’ trust on government can be split into two parts, namelygovernment-function efficiency trust and civil servants trust. The former one is made upof democratic law-based trust, service behavior trust and function realizing trust; thelatter one is made up of working attitudes trust, diligent and honest trust andprofessional qualification trust. college students’ attitudes towards online politicalinvolvement is made up of sense of responsibility, sense of self-efficacy, sense ofreasons and sense of concerns.(3) the general information of college students’ trust on government and attitudestowards online political involvement: generally speaking, college students’ trust ongovernment is not high. In point of government-function efficiency trust, the grades ofall factors from high to low are function realizing trust, democratic law-based trust,service behavior trust; In point of civil servants trust, the grades of all factors from highto low are professional qualification trust, diligent and honest trust, working attitudestrust. Generally speaking, college students’ attitude towards online political involvementis rather positive. In details, the grades of all factors from high to low are sense ofreasons, sense of concerns, sense of responsibility, sense of self-efficacy.(4) the gender difference of college students’ trust on government and attitudes towards online political involvement: generally speaking, government-functionefficiency trust of female ones are remarkably higher than the male, but there is noremarkable differences for them in the civil servants trust. In details, the female and themale have remarkable differences on the factors of democratic law-based trust, functionrealizing trust and working attitudes trust, in which the female is higher than the female.Generally speaking, the female and the male have remarkable differences in theirattitudes towards online political involvement. The female is remarkably higher than themale on the factors of sense of reasons and sense of concerns.(5) the differences of trust on government and attitudes towards online politicalinvolvement for Han people and non-Han people: there are no remarkable differenceson the overall level and every-factor level.(6) the differences of trust on government and attitudes towards online politicalinvolvement for those family-member is or isn’t civil servant: generally speaking, thetwo have remarkable differences in the point of trust on government. In details, the twohave remarkable differences on the factors of democratic law-based trust, servicebehavior trust, working attitudes trust, diligent and honest trust and professionalqualification trust. The family-member is civil servant is remarkable higher than thefamily-member isn’t civil servant. There is no remarkable difference for the two in pointof attitudes towards online political involvement.(7) the differences of trust on government and attitudes towards online politicalinvolvement for those student cadres and ordinary students: the two have remarkabledifferences in point of civil servant trust, also have remarkable difference on the factorof working attitudes trust with student cadres higher than non-cadre students. In point ofattitudes towards online political involvement, the two have remarkable difference onthe general level, the same on the factors of sense of reasons and sense of concerns.(8) generally speaking, government-function efficiency trust has good predictivepower for attitudes towards online political involvement. In details, service behaviortrust and function realizing trust have some predictive power for attitudes towardsonline political involvement; working attitudes trust and professional qualification trusthave some predictive power for attitudes towards online political involvement.Democratic law-based trust and diligent and honest trust have no predictive power forattitudes towards online political involvement.
