| In this paper, the author has conducted a comprehensive study on management of university office conference. The research adopted the use of literature,case studies and interventional studies as well as other methods, based on the principle of management, organization and coordination theory and planning theory after taking the studies of other scholars for reference. The research has also revealed the status and the problems of university office conference management in the basis of comprehensive exposition on the definition and the function of it and of the analysis of various case studies. The current six major problems of management are worse phenomenon of seas of meetings, unprofitable effect, high cost, less specialized service and unsound system. From the aspect of university management, the emphasis on the meetings, conference planning and co-ordination, the author tried to find the causes and the relative solutions to solve the problems as well as to improve the efficiency of the conferences. The six strategies are as follows:First, management style is to be changed, assuring the application of modern conference forms. Second, refined management should be implemented with the improvement of the quality of the conferences. Third, set down the evaluation system to ensure the effect of the meetings. Forth, strengthen the office team construction and create professional meeting services. Fifth, carry out scientific management and reduce the cost of the conferences. Sixth, improve the management system and standardize the conference work. The above six steps are the keys to the great improvement of the quality and efficiency of meeting management, of the effective control of meeting costs and of the achievement of the goal of efficient, pragmatic meeting management. |
