| Pursuing to support students as a career,teachers are more likely to suffer from job burnout.As to rural teachers,due to the arduous working environment,lack of broader development opportunities and space,etc.they are vulnerable to job burnout.In order to explore the subjective and objective factors influencing teachers’ job burnout,Research I is conducted through semi-structured interviewing,focusing on six rural primary school teachers and six urban primary school teachers.Then the interviewing materials,based on Grounded Theory,are analyzed and coded in order to conclude the similarities between rural and urban primary teachers as well as each property.Afterwards,Research II uses the “Professional Identity Scale”,the “Psychological Capital Scale” and “Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI)” to measure 115 rural primary school teachers and 154 urban elementary school teachers,so as to explore in depth the relationships between primary school teachers’ professional identity,psychological capital,and job burnout.Moreover,Research III selects two rural primary school teachers who suffer more from job burnout than others in sample group,and applies sandplay therapy to exert personal intervention on both of them,so that rural primary school teachers’ psychological capital development,job burnout mitigation,and its corresponding precautious matters can be discovered.The results are as follows:(1)The influential factors consist of fourteen aspects: working environment,interpersonal relationships,work-family conflicts,job requirements,psychological capital,student management,social support,social responsibility,professional identity,teachers’ responsibility,working hours,faculty resources,physical fitness and work pressure.“Leftover children management” and “resident student management” are two distinctive influential factors for rural primary school teachers’ job burnout,whilst “insufficient teacher supply” and“hardship for upgrading skills” are two particular influential factors for urban primary school teachers’ job burnout.(2)Significant positive correlation exists between professional identity and psychological capital,whereas significant negative correlation between professional identity and job burnout,and significant negative correlation between psychological capital and job burnout;Psychological capital and Professional identity have significant negative predicting on the job burnout.Psychological capital is the mediating variable between the professional identity and job burnout.(3)Under the circumstance of establishing favorable counseling relationship,sandplay therapy is capable of developing rural primary school teachers’ psychological capital,and on alleviating job burnout.In conclusion,Psychological capital and Professional identity are the important psychological factors affecting rural primary school teachers’ job burnout.Professional identity impacts on the job burnout through the psychological capital.Under the background of good counseling relationship,sandplay therapy can develop individual’ psychological capital,and alleviate job burnout. |
