Study On The Quality Management And Continuous Improvement For Stadium Operations

Major sports events not only led to the development of local sports industry, but also to promote the construction and development of sports infrastructure and other public facilities. Stadium operations and management has become a key issue accordingly. This thesis will focus on the continuous quality improvement of Tianjin International Tennis Center via Six Sigma.This thesis firstly studies the domestic and foreign sports standard system, and the application of ISO9000/ISO14000 in the field of sports. Then based on the analysis of the correlated stadiums quality management processes and other related problems, we propose to construct a stadium operations and quality management system, which can support the " Trilogy" of quality plan, quality control and quality improvement as well as the spiralling continuous quality improvement. The construction of the quality system is necessary for stadium's standardized management and the subsequent continuous quality improvement.In this thesis, stadium's quality standard system is established. Based on the theory of Six Sigma, the feasibility of its application in stadium operations and quality management is analyzed and a Six Sigma continuous quality improvement model of stadium is proposed. Finally, we follow the DMAIC(Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) process of Six Sigma, and carry out the continuous quality improvement studies which is customer satisfaction oriented. In this study, stadium quality evaluation index system is identified, and recommendations on stadium operations and quality management are proposed.
