Grammar is the summary of constituting the internal structure of language rules and realizing the foundation of language communication.It determines the fluency and accuracy of language communication."The new English Curriculum Standard for senior middle schools" clearly put forward that in terms of language knowledge,grammar is high school students' basic knowledge of English language that students are required to learn and master.However,in the current English grammar teaching,many teachers adopt the direct teaching method,which is a method easy to make students gradually lose their enthusiasm and initiative for grammar.They just learn passively in grammar class and seldom communicate and discuss with their classmates.In order to solve the current problems in grammar teaching,this study adopted a new teaching organization form called Learning Community,which has caused great attention from scholars both at home and abroad.Based on Constructivist Learning Theory and Learning Organization Theory,this paper takes Senior One English grammar as a research problem.Through qualitative research and quantitative research,this thesis wants to verify the following two assumptions:(1)Building Learning Community in Senior English grammar teaching can strengthen students' sensitivity to the grammar and their interest to a certain extent;(2)Building Learning Community in Senior English grammar teaching can improve students' marks of grammar test.The research objects are the students selected from two comparable classes of Grade 1 in a senior middle school of Chifeng city in Inner Mongolia.During the four months,Learning Community teaching organization form is used in the experimental class,while the traditional teaching method is used in the comparative class as usual.By adopting the methods of literature review,interview,questionnaire investigation and experimental research methods,the paper collects the experimental data and makes further analysis.The results show that after a semester of the experiment,the marks of grammar in the experimental class which has been taught with the construction of learning community is better than those in the comparative class which does not accept this teaching method.What's more,this method is beneficial to strengthen students' sensitivity to grammar and has increased their interest in learning.This study not only enriches the research of Learning Community,but also cultivates students' consciousness of cooperation and improves the students' grammatical grades.
