As today’s world of cultural exchanges and mutual fusion is becoming more and more frequent, coupled with the continuous development of science and technology, the world is rapidly shrinking. In such a big background of the times, the concept of "multi culture" came into being, and the consciousness of multiculturalism began to be expressed in all aspects of our daily life. And music as a special culture, in a variety of cultural exchanges, but also as a "beloved" of the existence of. Because the music is a kind of culture without borders, it was hardly affected by the language, customs, can even help cross-cultural communication both sides understand their culture. Therefore, we can appreciate to one of the world’s various types of music, feel the music of rich and colorful.The music culture education in our country is in the background of this kind of multi culture, it will be influenced by its influence, so as to produce the new educational policy and teaching goal. Therefore, our country new "music curriculum standard" also made it clear "respect for the arts, the overall goal of multicultural understanding, promotes the students’ learning in different countries, different ethnic music, thus to improve students’ level of music appreciation. For example, in middle school students of the music appreciation course, students can understanding to melancholy, romance of Russian music, can also feel the pleasure and happiness of Italian music, can also realize the passionate Spanish music. Through various types of music learning not only broaden the students’ vision, but also inspire students to appreciate the interests of the national music, cultivate the sentiment, so, on the one hand, this is a good phenomenon. But due to the formation of multicultural music environment. In recent years many people of western music blindly pursue careers, formed the "Western Music Center" theory, lead to the status of Chinese traditional music has plummeted. These blind people are not lack of music educators and parents, which directly affect the school’s music education and social music education. Music educators too worship of western music, will ignore our own traditional music teaching in the teaching process, resulting in students of musical thinking fixed in western music; parents respect western music is may let the children learn Western instruments more. Because they think learning piano, Violin and other Western musical instrument is more elegant, temperament; learning erhu, Chinese musical instruments too rustic. Of course, we know that these practices are very one-sided. Chinese traditional music has a long history, carrying the splendid culture of our country, should make students understand and inheritance, and some traditional music is on the verge of extinction, we should protect.This article is to multi culture as the background, the challenges facing the traditional music in the multicultural music education from the perspective of the development of the status quo, the high school in Heze City of Shandong Province, Heze University as an example, on the problems existing in the traditional music teaching practice under the background of multicultural music for research, and puts forward some suggestions, I hope to be helpful to other traditional music teaching.This thesis consists of three parts: introduction, body and conclusion.The introduction part is about the reason and significance of this paper, research status, research methods and innovation of this paper, so as to understand the research objectives of this paper and to solve problems.The first chapter is the elaboration of the related concepts, including multi culture, multi music culture, followed by the development of multicultural education, the importance and the status quo, as a basis for research. First chapter of the second part is the elaboration of multicultural music traditional music elements, to the traditional music do broad definition, and analysis of the two containing the relationship, which is the second chapter of traditional music into the classroom to pave the way.The second chapter is about the local traditional music into the high school music classroom thinking. Current society for traditional music, young inheritors are becoming less and less, our traditional music face lost the grim situation. But the student is the hope for the future of the country, they have a duty to protect and inherit the local traditional music culture and traditional music into the music classroom has a number of practical significance, so traditional music into the music classroom is necessary. In the last part of the second chapter of Heze area important traditional music-- the introduction of Shandong Qinshu, for the following questionnaire to prepare.The third chapter and the fourth chapter are the key point of the article. The third chapter is the investigation content of traditional music teaching in Middle School of Heze University, include a survey of students and music teachers to understand the local traditional music in the school music class teaching and students to understand the situation. The through the analysis of the questionnaire results to understand, most of the students of middle school affiliated to Heze doesn’t know the local Shandong Qinshu, the school did not opened for them in special traditional music curriculum, and teachers in the music lesson relates to the traditional music culture knowledge to explain very little. In addition, schools, society and other factors affect the development of traditional music.The fourth chapter is according to the third chapter analysis problems, and combining with the multicultural music education theory, from three aspects of the teacher, the student and the school put forward reasonable suggestions. Schools should strengthen the importance of traditional music, to students and teachers provide a good learning environment, teachers should strive to improve their knowledge and innovative teaching methods to stimulate students’ interest in learning; students should strengthen the concern consciousness of traditional music, the correct attitude towards learning. All the suggestions are to improve the traditional teaching practice, to inherit and develop the traditional music.The conclusion part is the summary according to the of all the analysis and argumentation, the conclusions and enlightenment is, the teachers should improve their professional quality and innovative teaching methods to stimulate students’ interest in learning, students should improve the awareness of protecting traditional music. Only teachers, students, and other social classes to understand the joint efforts to ensure the heritage and development of traditional music.
