Mongolian is a nation that pays great attention to environmental protection and has good ecological awareness. Their environmental consciousness are basically represented in the development view on the balance between human and nature, the moral and ethical concept of sympathy for other animals and plants, the value of treating nature resources as priceless asset. These are coincident with the goal of cultivating students' environmental protection consciousness in the teaching process of junior high school biology.This paper analyzed and summarized the relative contents about environmental protection of junior high school biology textbooks in the background of new curriculum standard. On this basis, collected knowledge of nomadic and hunting culture, composed three instructional designs to apply traditional mongolian culture as well. In the concrete teaching, combined with mongolian traditional environmental protection knowledge that students are familiar with, student-oriented and with analysis and discussion of the environmental problem in real life to stimulate students' interest in learning, to arouse students' potential consciousness toward environmental protection. Ultimately, achieved the goal of cultivating student's knowledge, ability, attitude and value.
