In recent years, academic help-seeking has become a popular research topic in educational field.Academic help-seeking is that during the learning process students can not solve the problems independently and need to get the help from others, in order to achieve the intended purpose.It's essence is a kind of self regulated learning strategy which is adopted to improve the learning efficiency.With the deepening of the research, more and more scholars believe that academic help-seeking is not only an important self regulatory strategies, but also a kind of important ability, that is, one can make full use of resources effectively to promote individual academic progress and adapt to the ability to learn.The purpose of this study is to explore the development status and characteristics of the primary school students and the differences of academic help-seeking in gender and subjects. So as to help students to use their academic help-seeking to regulate their learning and so that students can use help-seeking behavior, methods and strategies to improve their learning ability correctly.I used the questionnaire in this study,investigated and analyzed the659 primary school students' on academic help seeking behavior, the object and gender differences in performance and other issues,and the following conclusions were drawn from interviews with teachers and parents:1.In the learning process, when faced with academic difficulties, there is a willingness to seek help from others and there exists help-seeking behavior, namely, instrumental help-seeking, executive help-seeking and avoidance of help-seeking behavior.2.In the aspect of help object, the primary school students tend to seek help from teachers. In the course of help-seeking, some students will also seek help from students or parents.3.In the elementary school, with the increase of the grade, the instrumental help-seeking showed a downward trend, and the executive and avoiding help-seeking showed an upward trend. The specific performance is: three or four grade students tend to more instrumental help-seeking; five or six grade tend to more executive and avoiding help-seeking.4.In the aspect of gender, there are more instrumental help-seeking behavior among the female students than that male students in the primary stage, and there are more executive help-seeking and avoiding help-seeking among male students.5.In the aspect of academic subjects, the primary school students need more help in mathematics than that the language; there exists more instrumental help-seeking in mathematics.
