To promote the development of sports in the sunshine campaign, while popularizing the knowledge and skills of football on campus, forming a training mechanism of school-based youth football on campus for talented person, which combines physical training and education. On March 16, 2015, under the guidance of "Overall program for Chinese football reform and development", the leading group was established, and officially launched "National Youth Football Activities on Campus" nationwide. According to details of the embodiment, there has been 22 primary schools and 38 secondary schools included in pilot schools for campus football in Guangzhou. At the same time, Guangzhou is one of the capital cities in the layout of "campus football" campaign. Combined with the specific situation of Guangzhou, carry out campus football activities with Chinese characteristics, take primary schools as the basic entry point, and use the scientific concept of development as the theoretical guidance, with the comprehensive, coordinated, and sustainable development concepts, to culture talents for campus football in Guangzhou. This article caught dynamic, and timely carried out research on status quo and influencing factors of development of campus football in pilot primary schools in Guangzhou, so as to provide a theoretical basis for the promotion of campus football activities in Guangzhou and all over the country in the future. In this paper, football teachers, students and parents of the pilot primary schools for youth campus football in Guangzhou were the objects of the study. The research methods are literature survey, questionnaire, expert interviews, field research, and mathematical statistics and so on. This paper tries to make in-depth understanding of the status quo of football campaigns in pilot primary schools in Guangzhou, and identify the problems and influencing factors in the process, so as to put forward reasonable suggestions for the development of campus football in Guangzhou. Through the investigation, there are several conclusions as follows:(1) The proportion of women football teachers in Guangzhou is quite low, and teachers tend to be younger. Almost all of their qualifications are at the undergraduate or above. However, their professional titles and football levels are not high in general. There are low proportion of teachers trained with professional and systematic football training, and most of the teachers are non-special football graduates. They lack understanding of sports protective knowledge.(2) Students like school football generally, with the performance of boys more obvious than girls. The motivations of students to participate in campus football are varied, and the main motivations are to cope with the PE exam and exercise. While the main reasons for not participating are that parents do not allow and they are worried about affecting study. The frequency and duration of time to participate in extracurricular football activities are generally low. Students get information about football mainly through the networks, televisions and broadcasts.(3) There are both positive and negative attitudes towards the campus football among parents. The main reasons for parents to support students participating in school football are that football can help relieve the pressure of study, strengthen the bodies, and cultivate students' teamwork ability. While parents do not support students to participate in football activities due to the low probability of becoming a talented person in the field of football and the negative impact on learning.(4) According to the field research, there is only one lawn football field in most of the pilot primary schools, and the sizes of fields are 7-a-side or 11-a-side. Survey of teachers found that teachers generally felt that the school football field and equipment were just barely able to ensure the needs of teaching, training and competition.(5) All of the pilot primary schools has set up football courses, and most of the schools set courses for all grades. There are also a small part of schools setting football courses for just some of grades. The teaching methods used by teachers are mainly transfer language pedagogy and intuitive teaching method; the means of teaching commonly used is conventional football teaching, followed by football games, and there are also a small number of teachers using multimedia teaching. The arrangement of teaching hours in football lessons is reasonable. There is dribbling technology in the teaching contents in all of the schools, and almost all of the schools teach pass-the-ball technology. Only a small number of schools contain the basic theory and off the ball technology in teaching contents.(6) According to the result of factor analysis, factors that constrain the campus football activities in the pilot primary schools in Guangzhou City are as follows: economy, institutional policies, campus culture, students' subjectivity, families, and other people.
