With the high-speed development of modern technology, the push of social demand and request as well as the college expansion of enrollment, the interdisciplinary graduates in the local universities come into the eye of the educational circles as a distinct characteristic graduate students group. This group increases gradually in different disciplines. In the several discipline, the interdisciplinary graduates take a large part, which provides a new opportunity and challenge for cultivating the students.This study is based on the culture shock theory, taking ethnology discipline of Guangxi university for nationalities as a case study. This study also uses interdisciplinary research methods, such as literature research method,questionnaire method, depth interview and snowball sampling, to acquire full and accurate first-hand data. By the method of deep description, the study describes the whole sets of eight horses(cases) of the students from 2010 to 2015. According to the option periods(before entering the school), entering periods(the first year of graduate school), studying periods(the first year and the second year of graduate school) as well as the research periods(the second year and the third year of graduate school), depicts all kinds of phenomenons of interdisciplinary students,which are confusion, superiority, dissociation, perseverance, leisure and escape.This study analyses and reflects the adaption and identity of interdisciplinary graduates in the local universities. At the same time, this study also gives someadvice to avoid some universities moving towards the traps of reverse discrimination.The conclusions are as follows: in order to improve the quality of education,to make the interdisciplinary students become a real “seaman”, or “special forces”to solving the complicated problems, the schools of ethnology discipline can try to confirm the targets, clarify the mission and responsibility of the interdisciplinary graduates, to motivate their scientific research potential and practical ability.
