Teachers' professional identity is a complex including positive experience, feelings and behavior tendency of their own professional role and occupation. Professional identity study of the Specially Contracted Teachers(SCT) who continue to teach after their service contract expires plays a significant role in improving professional identity of teachers who are under the contract. Literature research indicates that the academic field has been concentrated on the Specially Contracted Teachers who are still in service period instead of giving due attention to those who continue to teach after their contracts expired. Taking SCT who continue to teach after their contracts expired in Gansu Province as studying object and employing questionnaire and interview methods,this thesis studies the factors influencing SCT's professional identity and then gives corresponding advice and suggestions, hoping to promote SCT's professional identity and provide references and instructions to ensure the Specially Contracted Teachers' Plan to be implemented thoroughly and successfully.Based on Wei Shuhua's amount form of teachers' professional identity and combined with test results of The questionnaire in this combined with the sentence completion test results, this thesis is carried out from six dimensions such as the interpersonal relationship, social respect, payments and treatments, teaching efficacy,work environment and educational faiths. Before the formal questionnaire is formed, the initial questionnaire has been employed to do the small samples and project analysis,exploratory factor analysis and stratified-factor analysis have been used to adjust and verify the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.By using methods of variance analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to study and analyze the collected datum and combined with the analysis of the interviewed teachers' information, the SPT, who continue to teach after their contracts expire in Gansu Province, have been investigated.This study has indicated that background variable factors such as gender, position and school location have different influences on professional identity level of SCT who continue to teach; there exists a more significant positive correlation between their professional identity and interpersonal relationship,educational faiths,teaching efficacy as well as social respect than that between payments and treatments and working conditions; Interpersonal relationship and educational faiths are obvious positive predictors for their professional identity to some extent, which predicts the maximum stress of interpersonal relationship, followed by educational faiths;teacher-student relationship, colleague relationship and family relationship are on the decrease to their professional identity in interpersonal relationship sphere; so are the educational notion, acknowledgments of the value of their occupation, job motivation, career design and teacher professional ideal in educational faiths sphere.Considering the above research results,administrative department of education under the State Council, positioned schools and the teachers themselves shall work together to master the main and major influencing factors so as to specific measures to be taken to improve SCP's professional identity and ensure the implementation of Specially Contract Teachers' Plan.
