Teachers' professional identity is their understanding and evaluation of the basic nature,value and norms of their career,and it is a dynamic process constantly interacting with the professional environment.Teachers' professional identity and personal factors are selected as the entry point,through in-depth interviews and questionnaires to physical education(PE)teachers at primary and secondary schools to find out the personal factors influencing their professional identity.The thesis contains two continuous researches.The first is a preliminary research on personal factors of PE teachers at primary and secondary schools in professional identity.Through the purposive sampling method,17 PE teachers from primary and secondary schools were selected for in-depth interviews,71949 Chinese characters of audio data were transcribed,and NVivo 10.0 software was used for qualitative analysis.The audio data was encoded according to the grounded theory into 1 core code,9 correlation codes and 33 open codes.The second is a research on the relationship mechanism between personal factors and PE teachers' professional identity.Through the quota sampling method,691 PE teachers from primary and secondary schools in China were inquired,finally forming A Questionnaire about Personal Factors,and the various factors and professional identity were constructed into a structural equation model to obtain the relationship among these factors.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Personal factors that influence teachers' professional identity include job satisfaction,conscientiousness,professional ability,teaching efficacy,self-esteem,career motivation,extroversion,reflective ability,and agreeableness.(2)There are many paths in personality and professional ability to professional identity;professional ability has greater direct effect on professional identity,and conscientiousness has the greatest direct effect on professional identity.(3)Teaching efficacy is an intermediary variable between personality and professional ability to professional identity,but its mediating effect is less than the direct effect of personality and professional ability on professional identity.(4)Job satisfaction partly plays an intermediary role between teaching efficacy and professional identity.(5)Self-esteem partly plays an intermediary role between teaching efficacy and professional identity.
