In recent years, accompanying with the implementation of “ Running schools with standards”, “ Reform Plan For Weak School” and “ The support plan for village teachers(2015-2020)”, the condition of education in the ethnic minority and rural areas in gansu province has been improved gradually and it is crucial to strengthen the construction of teachers to improve the teaching quality of education in national regions. Concentratateing on teachers' living state and promoting teachers' quality of survival have profound practical significance to the development of rural education in ethnic minority areas.This research adopts the method of questionnaire and interview method, which contain the teachers' salary, housing, transportation, marriagement, health, stress, satisfaction, professional identity investigation, covering two aspects of teachers' about material and spirite. The results show that teachers' living condition significantly rely on teachers' "identity". Specifically, the formal establishment teachers' economic pressure is low and with higher life satisfaction; teachers in special position mainly dilemma lies in the lack of work experience, male teacher married difficult; Temporary substitute personnel' salary is low with a large economic pressure, less development opportunities, whose living conditions is bad. Reasons that affect teachers' living conditions include: Wage income which barely support the daily life, poor housing conditions, teachers' self understanding of their survival status, pressure from living field which is teachers' independent development obstacle, too much work and the professional development of teachers. In addition, the rural education development and the concept of education in ethnic minority areas and customs also restricts the current situation of the development of rural teachers at minority nationality areas in Gansu.In order to improve the state of existence and development of teachers, several measures should be adopted. Which include : improve teachers' treatment and office conditions; Pay attention to teachers' mental health and emotional development, enhance teachers' sense of happiness and spiritual pursuit; Build the good external environment, ensure autonomy in teacher professional development; increase education investment in rural areas, attach great importance to the education of "efficiency" problem; build the district culture, promote the home school joint, efforts to changing the concept of education in national regions. Only with the joint effort can rural teachers' living conditions at ethnic minority areas in gansu province be improved effectively.
