Education resources and education based on the needs of a growing and changing, and gradually increased enrollment of high school students, the individual differences of students have become more and more obvious, in our country has made remarkable contribution to the traditional class teaching system has turned out many disadvantages. In the class teaching system,due to the students individual differences, some top students with good abilities are not satisfied with the knowledge presented. If we continue to ignore these disadvantages of mathematics teaching, the practice of using the unified schedule, the unified teaching goal and requirements inevitably can t adapt to the teaching of new curriculum reform, So this cannot adapt to the requirement advocated by the new curriculum standard, but also is conducive to the development of students personality, As a result, some of the students are fed up with mathematics, greatly preventing the development of quality education. To great degree stratified teaching is suitable for the requirement of the new curriculum reform. The teaching mode is based on students existing knowledge level and ability to accept as a starting point to design the teaching process, really geared to the needs of all students, which embodies the basic characteristics of education and the concept of new curriculum reform.This article mainly adopts the literature method, questionnaire survey method, interview method, in reference on the basis of predecessors’ research results, from the perspective of the development of stratified teaching at home and abroad, the article tries to comb the theory, combine my own teaching practice explore the rural high school mathematics stratified teaching and interpret layered teaching method and practice steps, By compare and analyze the result of the practice to fundamentally arouse the students’ learning desire, stimulate students’ learning potential and meet the demand of the students’ individual development.Teaching practice has proved that implementing stratified teaching in rural high school mathematics teaching is necessary. And stratified teaching can from the level of the students’ existing knowledge, under the condition of fully considering the individual differences between students, geared to the needs of all, according to their aptitude, let each student in each level to get a good common development and progress. So carrying out stratification teaching is helpful to create a new rural high school math teaching methods; If join layering teaching in class is the same for the effect of classroom teaching more effective; At the same time, rural high school mathematics stratified teaching will help ease the students’ academic burden; To reduce the students’ learning pressure, which is beneficial to the cultivation of the students good state of mind; And strengthen the cooperation between teachers and students, learning of mathematics plays a positive and active role, so as to improve the students’ learning level; So carrying out stratification teaching to improve the quality of teaching and teacher’s professional ability both are of great help.
