The 157 th Middle School is located in Qijia Town,Changchun,Jilin Province.The school is in rural area.In the past five years,due to the acceleration of the urbanization process,the number of students rapidly decreased.It is a typical case of a small class with a size of about 25 students.Most of the small class teaching formed in this environment is based on poor foundations: students' insufficient interest in learning,parents' neglect of their children,and the class' s mathematics performance has a large gap.This naturally formed condition is mathematics.Hierarchical teaching provides innate conditions.Nowadays,mathematics classroom teaching in junior high school in China is mainly based on the unified requirements according to curriculum standard and teaching plans.Teaching aims at middle level students and are appropriately extended to both sides.However,teachers did not pay enough attention to students at the sub-poles,especially those who were in difficulty and their number is big.They were given less care,help,or guidance in the classroom.This situation results in serious serious problems.Hierarchical teaching is imperative and a good solution to this problem.According to the characteristics of junior high school students and the characteristics of middle school teaching,this paper deals with the stratified teaching method and the focus at teaching and learning experiments.To see if each student has any gains on his or her own basis and which model the student improves in the experiment.Hierarchical teaching can enable us to face all students,give full play to the characteristics of students,tap the potential of students,so that students can improve stratification.Hierarchical teaching also improves the quality of teachers.In short,stratified teaching is the concrete embodiment of quality education,in line with the requirements of the times,to achieve the educational purpose of teaching according to talent.Therefore,the more appropriate stratification model has a better positivemeaning for rural junior high school mathematics education.We think that the experiment is a part work,and further efforts are proposed to be continued.
