With the further development of curriculum reform,the training the students’autonomous learning ability is more important,and the effectiveness of the assignment design is an important way for students to understand knowledge,master skills and improve the ability of autonomous learning.And it is also the stretching and sublimation of the classroom teaching.However,i n actual teaching,there exist many problems,for example,assignment design deviates from the course core value and weakens the teaching key points and difficulties;the design is simple,repetitive and of low thinking value;the design has no hierarchy.As is often the case,a teaching book is used throughout the teaching,and teachers can rarely design the students’ work according to specific conditions,which leads to their assignment hard and boring.This seriously influences students’ learning enthusiasm and initiative.This paper tries to cultivate students’ autonomous learning from the point of view of geography assignment design.This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part:Introduction.This paper discusses the background of the topic,the research’s significance,the research at home and abroad and the research’s thought and the characteristic.The second part:The present situation of high school geography assignment.This paper analyses the type,function and process of the geography assignment,and explore the geography assignment’s present situation and restricting factors through the questionnaire survey and the interview.The third part:Discussion about the theory foundation of how to use the design effectiveness to cultivate the ability of autonomous learning.It is involved in metacognitive theory,constructivism theory,humanism theory,achievement motivation theory.The fourth part:Discussion about the effective way based on the cultivating of the ability of autonomic learning in high school geography assignment design.It includes the idea change,job design principle and job design effective way.The fifth part:Conclusion.This research paper summarizes the basic conclusion,the deficiency and development direction.
