| Cultivating students’ necessary core literacy in geography is one of the basic concepts of geography curriculum,and geography practice ability,as one of the four core literacy,should be paid attention to.However,due to the problems of tight class time and heavy tasks in high school geography teaching,the cultivation of geography practice ability has become the most neglected aspect in daily classroom teaching.If geography homework is integrated with the cultivation of geography practical power,it can not only enrich the form of assignments and improve the function of assignments,but also cultivate students’ geography practice ability through homework,so this study is of great significance.We have reviewed the relevant domestic and foreign literature,investigated the current situation of high school geography assignments based on the cultivation of geography practice ability,proposed strategies,designed cases of high school geography assignments based on the cultivation of geography practice ability,and selected cases for implementation.The following conclusions are drawn from the study.(1)Investigating the current situation of high school geography assignments based on the cultivation of geographic practical power,we found the following problems in the cultivation of geographic practical power in high school geography assignments: the function of the assignments is narrowed and the cultivation of geography practice ability is neglected;students are interested in participating in practical assignments but have little practical experience;teachers’ awareness of discovering,integrating and using resources is not strong;teachers’ ability to design assignments independently needs to be improved.(2)The design strategies of high school geography assignments based on the cultivation of geography practice ability are summarized from two aspects: design principles and design process.The principles of assignments design include: the principle of moderate amount and difficulty of assignments,the principle of variety of forms,the principle of stratification of assignments,and the principle of connection with life;the process of homework design is as follows: setting homework objectives,investigating and analysing,choosing homework solutions,designing implementation and evaluation program,and improving the structure.(3)Using the homework design strategies obtained by induction,we selected some of the teaching contents of Compulsory 1 of the Lujiao edition(2019 edition)of high school geography,and took the section of "heat circulation" as an example to design the geography experiment assignment;and to design fieldwork assignments based on the section "Biosphere and Vegetation";to design social investigation assignments based on the section "Prevention and Avoidance of Natural Disasters".(4)The social investigation assignment of "Prevention and Avoidance of Natural Disasters" was implemented in a class,and the pre-test and post-test were conducted before and after the assignment using the PTA scale. |
