To teenagers who are suffering interpersonal communication barriers,they cannot build good relations and have grave psychological resistance,or worse,are easy to arouse deviant behaviors.It is ubiquitous that teenagers who have such symptoms are prone to feel loneliness and fear,have low self-consciousness and they are unable to release their emotions,which easily results in that teenagers cannot recognize themselves properly.Therefore,to search for effective therapeutic methods for teenagers who suffer those problems to improve their social adaptability is the key point of this paper.This paper attempts to integrate the function of image treatment with the effect of narrative therapy.Under the guidance of narrative therapeutic theory,the social worker will integrate the exploration of image treatment with the result of narrative therapy,and take the psychological problems of a teenager and the environment of his family education as the background to conduct an individual counseling research on the teenager who has problems in family environment,character orientation,self-awareness and is under heavy psychological pressures,thus in consultation,the social worker combines the realistic effect by image treatment,and further explores the effectiveness of applicability for teenagers in the combination of image treatment with narrative therapy.For this purpose,this paper employs the methods of observation,interview and comparative research to make a conclusion to evaluate the realistic effect of image treatment to the change of the case's behavior.In the actual case,the social worker creatively employs the narrative therapy and image treatment to conduct three-month counseling for an eighteen-year-old adolescent who wants to release emotions and express his emotional health.Firstly,the writer observes,interviews and collects material and pictures of his problems,thus confirms that he can be the study object of barriers in interpersonal communication and psychological resistance,then draws up relevant proposals based on his personal background,and selects eight healing films.Finally it reaches a conclusion through subjective and objective assessment like analysis,self-evaluation,feedback of his parents and companions,observation of watching films,and evaluation of social workers.Among them,selection of films and proper explanation to imagery symbols in the film are key to treatment.Under the model of imagery and narrative therapy,on the basis of totally respecting the case's story,the social worker helped him achieve a positive and constructive effect via non-lingual expression.The adolescent was able to narrate new story through brand-new angle of view and thus realized his wonderful life.The adolescent has made some significant changes under three-month image treatment and narrative therapy.He has improved his social communication ability and correctly treated the relations with his parents and setbacks and problems in pubertal contacts.All of these prove that image treatment makes an effect on barriers in adolescent's interpersonal communication and psychological resistance.With the non-lingual expression therapy,it discovers that as a tool of expression,image is a valuable tool that can convey and drain emotions.This paper will apply case study to provide fresh material and useful attempts for the function research of image in the narrative therapy.
