With the irresistible momentum of globalization, the degree of internationalization of universities has become one of the important criteria to measure the world's leading universities. The extent of internationalization of undergraduate students is a determining factor as well as an important indicator of the level of international development of a university. Thus it is of great significance to provide the university students with more extensive international education experiences and enhance the international quality and ability of those students. Therefore, exploring the issues of international education experience of undergraduates, on the one hand, can enrich the theory of internationalization of higher education, on the other hand can provide a reference to policy-making of internationalization for universities and strategy formation of international development for students.Based on analysis of the questionnaire data collected from 384 undergraduate students in H University by using SPSS 19.0 software, the result shows that:(1) compared with the past, the participation level of international education of undergraduate students in H University has significantly increased, but the overall participation level is still low; (2) in terms of the overall participation level of international education experience, there's little difference between various student groups, but within each dimension the participation level varies; (3) although students present positive attitude towards international education and can obtain good effects,, strategies and measures promoting internationalization still need to be strengthened at school level. In addition, through interviewing eight undergraduate students with cross-border international education experience in H University, we find that there are some problems in participating in cross-border international education for the students, including:(1) the problem of gains and learning effects; (2) the problem of language and cultural adaptation; (3) the problem of funding and school policy.Through questionnaires and interviews, this article sums up the characteristics of local international education experience and the existing problems in taking part in cross-border international education. According to the characteristics and problems above, suggestions are outlined below:as to international development strategy, cultivating international talents should be regarded as the core and the main line; in terms of internationalization of curriculum, enhancing the international curriculum setting level should be treated as the basic point; speaking about international academic cooperation and social activities, emphasis ought to be put on enhancing the richness and depth of those activities; with respect to students'international mobility, either quantity or quality matters; in relation to management measures of university internationalization, the consummation of policy support and management mechanism cannot be neglected.
