Table tennis is our national sport,has a broad mass base in our country,is also an important part of our country ordinary university sports teaching.Table tennis sports fitness,sports,entertainment as one,are popular among college students.As the table tennis sport in ordinary colleges and universities were extensively developed,and many problems are exposed in the teaching activities.Therefore,this article through the literature material method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics and other research methods,in Shandong province of Shandong normal university,Linyi university,Liaocheng university,Binzhou college,Weifang institute,Yantai university,Qingdao university,qufu normal university,yantai university,eastern shandong university,shandong university and Shandong university of science and technology,a total of 11 teaching status quo of the ordinary university table tennis lesson options of 1100 students and twenty-five teachers as the research object.Through the investigation of table tennis lesson options to carry out the status quo,and the analysis of the related data of survey to find out in the table tennis lesson options in common colleges and universities in Shandong province to carry out the main problems,and puts forward corresponding Suggestions in view of the problem,table tennis option class in universities in Shandong province for the future of extensive provide certain theoretical reference.The results prove that:1.Shandong province ordinary university students know about table tennis fitness value,cultural value is less,table tennis activity participation is low.2.Existing in common colleges and universities in Shandong province table tennis instructor exist gender imbalance,title,education is relatively low,young teachers is less,the lack of experienced professional training teachers.3.Shandong province ordinary university table tennis lesson options less class time,class size is more,different levels of students,teaching method,traditional single evaluation way too easy.4.Shandong province ordinary university table tennis option class teaching facilities is insufficient,the poor quality of equipment,cannot meet the demand of teaching and learning,spare time table tennis venue facilities is relatively nervous.5.Shandong province ordinary university of table tennis sports value degree is low,only a few school extracurricular time often hold table tennis competitions.
