| During past decades of years, government and society have paid more and more attention on preschool education. With the publishing of National Education Reform and Development of Long-term Planning Programs(2010-2020), the government shows a new level of concern of the reformation and development of preschool education. On the other side, the high attention paid on preschool education also shows that there are many problems need to be solved in preschool education. One of those problems is the unbalance of preschool teachers’ gender structure. According ministry of education’s dates, the number of preschool teacher keeps increasing in past years. More and more males chose preschool education as their major, and chose to enter the area of preschool education when they graduated from universities. Although the ratio of male preschool teachers has showed the obvious increasing, the changing didn’t keep for long. Recent years, the ration of male preschool teachers is just around 2%. That is to say, more males choosing to be preschool teachers, as the same time, there’s almost the same number of male preschool teachers choosing to leave. As the consequence, the male preschool teachers still working in kindergarten are new-serviced teachers who are still in period of induction adaption. The experience during the period of induction adaption is so important to male preschool teachers. It will influence their professional careers deeply in the future. In this essay, the author chose a male preschool teacher as the object of study. This male teacher has nearly 2-year working experience, the one who is still in induction adaption. The author spent lots of time on collecting materials about his induction adaption experience and change in different sides as much as possible.Based on the well understanding of the male teacher’s induction adaption, the author recoded and narrated his professional career in this essay. The factors affected him more came from four aspects. Firstly, mental preparation is the prerequisite condition of induction adaption. And the abilities of changing social roles, dealing with interpersonal relationship, dealing with compression and personality are the 4 major influencing factors of mental preparation. Secondly, the quality of professional knowledge and skills, and practical experience are the basic condition of induction adaption. Male preschool teachers must have enough children teaching knowledge, skills and practical experience before they entering the kindergarten. That’s the basic and necessary qualification of being a preschool teacher. Thirdly, key man and key event are the catalyzers of male preschool teachers’ induction adaption. The induction adaption is the sensitive and key period of male preschool teachers’ professional career. Special person and events affect them quicker and deeper than in any period. Finally, the guidance and support of professional training system are important external driving force. Professional training system provides male preschool teachers with professional guidance in both knowledge and practice, even psychological service. It’s an important positive power for male preschool teachers’ induction adaption.Rethinking profoundly about the male preschool teacher’s induction adapting experience, the author thinks that following measures can help male them in induction adaption. Male preschool teachers try their best in both internal and external adjustments. Internally, do well in self-adjust. Externally, take good advantage of external resources to improve their professional qualities. Kindergarten can do these: create cozy, unitive and cooperative cultural atmosphere; reform the settlement of teachers in class; reorder the work; create characteristic courses; prefect teacher rising system. Government and society create public environment which is propitious to male preschool teachers; raise the ratio of number of students in preschool education major; improve all preschool teachers’ treatment. |
