The Study On Information Capabilities Of The Disabled Teen Family Caregivers In The Empowerment Perspective

In the background of the information society, the level of information capabilities can determine whether it is able to effectively use of information resources to solve the problem, to obtain their own development. Disabled teen family caregivers is important to support the growth of disabled teenagers, the condition of their information capabilities is of great significance to the development of disabled teenagers and the whole family. The previous studies of disabled teen family caregivers focused on their demands or pressures, and the study on information capabilities is still relatively scarce, so this article will be on the Information capabilities of the disabled teen family caregivers about information needs, information behavior, information capabilities status and so on.Through surveys and case interviews, the information needs of the disabled teen caregivers were known, their information capabilities were assessed, and their information behavior characteristics and informational capacity barriers were analyzed; On this basis, Empowerment Theory was as the instruction, to design and expand the relevant service activities;By evaluating service activities, analysizing the energization plight of disabled teen family caregivers, and to explore the ways to improve the information capacity of the disabled teen family caregivers.The study found: Disabled Teen family caregivers disabled youth family caregivers in the aspect of information demand were in family’s survival and the development of disabled teen as the center, the information behavior was with a significant passive and stakeholders, and the less access to information, weakness in information awareness were for the lack of ability to get and use information; in the process of energized service, different types of family caregivers can have different effect in obtaining and using information, the parents family caregivers of effect in energized servicet is better than the family caregivers of the grandparents’.
