With the acceleration of urbanization, it shows the phenomenon of urban capacity expansion, which produced a number of city and countryside intersection junior high schools. Junior high school is the critical period for students' transformation from dependence to independence, when students will experience physical, psychological and other changes that make them mature. They have to handle not only the stress from the study, but also various pressure regarding the emotion, teacher-student relationship, parental over-expectation, etc. Therefore, students encounter mental health problem arising from impact of all aspects, among which teacher-student relationship has become a critical factor affecting the mental health of such students. Most previous research prefers to focus on one aspect of mental health and teacher-student relationship, and targets at college students or high school students rather than junior high school students.The method taken in this essay is questionnaires with regard to Metal Health Test(MHT) and teacher-student relationship scale handed out to 630 students of Baoding No. 22 junior high school. After analyzing the collected questionnaires, we come to four conclusions as following: 1. the general status of students' mental health and teacher-student relationship is in good condition, while some aspects prove poorly, such as study anxiety, impulsive symptoms and physical symptoms. 2. The negative trend of teacher-student relationship of the eighth grade students is slightly higher the seventh grade students. 3. Schoolgirls perform better than schoolboy in teacher-student relationship, but behave worse in mental health. 4. Generally speaking, there is significant positive correlation between students' mental health and teacher-student relationship. Students' mental health condition can be predicted by teacher-student relationship grades and accessibility, like anxiety, lonely tendency, physical symptoms and impulsive symptoms.
