Practice Exploration On The Intervention Of Case Work In Mental Comfort For The Five-Guarantees In The Rural Areas Of China

Five-guarantees in the rural areas is the most vulnerable groups which lack of self-help ability in the rural elderly population,have gotten the attention of the party and the government for a long time, and been centralized supported. Our country provide aids in forms of food, closing, housing, medical care and burial for them, so the old man's lowest life needs can be satisfied, but the higher level of spiritual demand of emotional, social, cultural entertainment, self realization is easy to be ignored. ?New protection of rights and interests for the elderly?put forward the mental comfort of old people explicitly for the first time in 2013,and all works of life began to have more eye turned to the elderly spiritual support. Based on the practice relying on the ministry of civil affairs "three plans" project in XiaoChang county, the author using the method of casework, provide spiritual comfort services for the five-guarantees in the rural areas, to help them relieve emotional loneliness, search for the value and meaning of life.In the practice of XiaoChang county welfare centre, the author found out that the “five-guarantees” are out of the mainstream of society gradually, and generally there is a lonely, self-denial, social circle closed and other issues due to an art of natural factors such as age, health, and shell type system of home environment. Because of the ignored spiritual care needs for a long time, the spirit of the “Five-Guarantees” is in a state of numbness or “habits”. It's social worker's responsibility to meet the demand of the old's spirit, to provide spiritual comfort service for them, it's also a major challenge.The author using the casework method involving spiritual solace of the “Five-Guarantees”, using life review and nostalgic individual skills to carry out the specific services. Understanding the specific situation of the egotism fully and analyzing his spiritual needs in preliminary evaluation stage; Guiding the director to review the experience of a lifetime systematically to help him to relieve negative emotions,reconstruct courage and confidence in the face of difficulties to meet the emotional needs in life review stage; By mining the egotism's interests and developing his interpersonal interaction potential, to meet the demand of leisure entertainment and interpersonal communication needs. The practice has proved that case work is a beneficial trial to intervene the spirit comfort of the “Five-Guarantees” in the rural areas, and life review and nostalgia is an effective method to meet their spiritual demands.
