Under the new situation of economic globalization, political democratization and cultural pluralism, traditional methods of ideological and political education have appeared a good few weak links. Especially, cramming, leading the inefficiency of education, neglects the dominant position of undergraduates, all of which result in the asymmetry between the educator and the educated. Accordingly, this paper based on undergraduates' groupis designed to analyze the problemof present methods of undergraduate ideological and political education from the point of view of ConversationTheory,it attempts to survey the benefits and drawbacks of traditional methods of ideological and political education and provide effective ways to explore conversational methods ofideological and political education.As an attempt to combine Conversation Theory and ideological and political educationon undergraduate, this paper mainly interpretsthe rich resources of Chinese and Western Conversation Theoryfrom the point of methodology, thentry to enhance the validity of ideological and political education method on undergraduate.In order to achieve this goal, this paper reorganizes and concludes the development tendency of Chinese and Western Conversation Theory, and further unscrambles dialogue by summarizing the Conversation Theory of very few representatives, like Confucius and Socrates,investigates the present situation of themethods of ideological and political education on undergraduate through the network, and introduces Conversation Theory into the necessity of methodology study of ideological and political education, which is designed to summarizethe theoretical and practical significance of ideological and political education method on undergraduate based on Conversation Theory. Finally explores the building path of conversational methods of ideological and political education on undergraduate, from the following four levels, namely, the dialogue premise, the dialogue mode, the dialogue carrier and the dialogue approach.
