Research On The Application Of Project Management In The Q Maritime Vocational Institute Crew Training

The seafarer training has play a decisive role for China to improve its maritime position,in order to adapt to the 2010 STCW Manila amen dment, China Maritime Safety Administration introduced the "Rules of the People's Republic of China for the Competency Examination and C ertification of Seafarers Serving in Seagoing Ships " in 2011,which adddifficulty for passing the seafarer qualification examinations;therefore s eafarer training institute should find a way to improving the pass rate.Project management is a systematic process and method. Itis significanc e in the management of seafarer training projects.Using modern project management theory, the thesis researches the management method of training program of crew for Q Maritime Vocational Institute Aim for the existing problems in the crew training program, we propose project management models and methods which have certain effectiveness. The main research work is as follows:(1)The basic situation and the current status of the training program of crew in Q Maritime Vocational Institute are investigated. The research shows that there are some problems such as lacking of practice training, difficulty of learning because of bad ability, lacking of standard management of crew training.(2) Aiming to the current problems, the feasibility of implementing project management methods are proposed.(3)Based on the scientific management theory, the process model of management was set up. Combining with the characteristics of crew training,the management system of crew training including five aspects of training programs starting, planning, implementing, controlling and finishing are put forward. It also gives the specific implementation scheme of each process.(4) Then the thesis puts forward the application of crew training in Q Maritime Vocational Institute on the basis of project management model.
