Investigation Of Marriage Quality Of Offshore Oil Staffs And Intervention Study By Naikan Cognitive Therapy

Objective:To investigate marital quality of offshore oil staffs and analyze related factors,to valuate effect NCT on marriage quality and mental health intervention.Method:From March 2015 to May,the offshore oil staffs in Bohai Area were investigated by MAT(Locke-Wallace marriage adjustment measure),CMQI(Chinese Marital Quality Inventory),SCL-90(Symptom Checklist 90),16PF(The Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire),PSSS(Perceived Social Support Scale),SCCS(Self Consistency and Congruence Scale),AOS(Acceptance of Others Scale).then analyze the marital quality and psychosomatic symptoms, personality and other factors.76 students,who met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria of the interventions study,were randomly assigned to the study group and control group.There were 38 staffs in each group.The study group were centralized and received NCT for a week,while the control group were received the general mental health education. Before and after the intervention they were both evaluated by MAT,CMQI,SCL-90,16 PF,PSSS,SCCS, AOS.Results:(1)Issued 500 copies in the married offshore staffs surveyed,485 were recovered,efficiency of 97%. The MAT scores(94.35±26.17), lower than 100 points,the differences were statistically significant compared with the national norm CMQI scores(301.3±45.11), the total scores and factor scores had significant difference compared with the national norm.(2)All the staffs in study group completed the intervention,when study group had 38 staffs,while control group had 38 staffs.Before the intervention,no significant differences between two groups in general condition.(3)After the intervention, MAT scores were significantly higher than before(P< 0.01)in study group.There were no differences in control group.(4)After the intervention,CMQI scores and factor scores were significantly higher than before(P<0.01)in study group.There were no differences in control group.(5)After the intervention,SCL-90 scores and factor scores were significantly lower than before(P<0.01)in study group.There were no differences in control group.(6)After the intervention,PSSS scores and the factor scores were significantly higher than before(P<0.01)in study group.There were no differences in control group.(7)Afterthe intervention, SCCS scores and factor scores were significantly lower than before(P<0.01)in study group.There were no differences in control group.(8)After the intervention,AOS scores was significantly higher than before(P<0.01)in study group. There were no differences in control group.(9)After the intervention for offshore oil staffs spouse,CMQI scores and the factor scores were significantly higher than before(P<0.01) in study group.There were no differences in control group.Conclusions:(1)The marriage quality of offshore oil staffs was relatively poor,compared with the national norm of statistical difference.(2)NCT can significantly improve the offshore oil staffs and their spouses marriage quality; NCT can significantly improve the offshore oil staffs psychosomatic symptoms; NCT can make offshore oil staffs understand that social support; NCT can make offshore oil staffs more self consistency and congruence;NCT can significantly improve the offshore oil staffs hold the degree of others.(3)As a short and easy,convenient operating method,NCT has a broad application prospect for marital quality of and the improvement of mental health to the special group of offshore oil staffs.
