The Internet And Social Work Development:in The Aspect Of Structural Functionalism

Under the push of government, China's social work development progress very quickly. The development of social work of China is in a relatively short time,.However,the development of the Internet industry has been flourish already, the social work in Chinese has close relationship with the development of the Internet technology. The development of the Internet has been through Web 1.0, Web2.0 and Web3.0 iterative update, the development of social work has been embodied by the three generation of Internet technology.This research was based on the project forged by Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department of my tutor "Reasearch about the function and effect of internet to social construction".With the method of literature study,interviewing method,case study method,I aimed at researching the relationship of structrul function made by the internet to social work system.In the visual angle of structural functionalism,I analised the function of internet to the social work system from two angles of positive function and negative function.Then I have a survy of manifest function and latent function.Firstly,I analyised the subsystem of social work in the chapter ofconcept definition.According to Parsons's opinion,an existing system must solve 4 problems "adaption, goal attainment,integrationlatency,pattern maintenance",and the social work system fulfill all these conditions..According to the Functional analysis paradigm of Merton,I decided the function of internet into two parts:the positive function and negative function.With the developing of social work,The functions of information transferring,communication,network participation,collaboration are helpful,so they are summarized as the positive function.however,the information crisis,the social problem,the management dilemma originated internet are not conductive to the developing of social work,so they are summurised as the negative function.The effect of internet to social work system can be devided into signiaficant functions and latent functions.The significant functions are the influences that has been obvious or known in the community,including "use of the Internet to reduce the operating costs of social institutions, expanding the institutional funding sources ways to promote the depth of integration of social workers and community residents, bringing the network development of social work ". latent function are the influences that has not been obvious but in the future it may be demonstrated. Firstly, the use of the Internet lead to innovation of social work content and form; Secondly, management thinking of the Internet also will be a major reference for the management of social work agencies; thirdly, the Internet has promoted the development of social enterprises. To understand the significant function and latent function in social work is helpful to grasp the relationship, and possibly increase the coordination between the Internet and social systems in order to better promote the social work system development. Finally, based on case studies of social institutions D I make the discussion of social work and internet.Finally, this paper discusses how to deal with the impact of the Internet. We should strengthen the Internet for the positive function of social work:first we should explore new channels of Internet communication and increasing social work influence; second, we should explore enhancing residents' participation in the network, improve the social service ability. Secondly, it should weaken the negative function of the Internet for social work:to actively explore the social work methods in the network era, the establishment of the Internet era of charity supervision system.
