Moral education is one of the main tasks of school education.School moral education ought to both emphasize the teaching of theoretical knowledge and promote students to participate in practical operation.In other words,the process of moral education is not supposed to be limited to political classes or moral lessons or class meetings;instead,it should be penetrated into some other subjects.The process of ideological and moral cultivation is a dynamic process of cognition.PE lesson has a a unique advantage in cultivating students' ideological and moral character.While doing sports,students need to participate in a variety of physical exercise,when their behavior,thought,will and emotions are more easily revealed.Teachers can observe students' words and deeds and introduce moral norms into the classroom in a timely manner so that students can obtain direct,vivid and profound moral education.Therefore,doing sports can strengthen student's body and enhance the students' intellectual development,personality development and ideological and moral education.In order to strengthen the education effect and make full use of the function of moral education,it is a must for teachers to establish a consciousness of moral penetration,which will enable the teaching activities of a subject to promote students' excellent moral character.In this paper,by using literature data,interview,questionnaire and some other methods,the status quo of moral penetration in physical education in Yantai No.3Middle School is being investigated.By starting from PE teachers and students,the consciousness of PE teachers in penetrating moral education into their classes,the present status of moral penetration implementation in PE lessons,the barriers to moral penetration implementation in PE lessons as well as students' acceptance of moral education are being surveyed.Based on those surveys,the paper make a further systematic analysis on both the value of moral education in physical education and the advantages of physical education in implementing moral education.And eight effective penetration methods are put forward as to how to scientifically penetrate moral education into PE lessons.The conclusions are as follows:1.The status quo of moral penetration in physical education in Yantai No.3Middle School is not as satisfying as expected.While most of the teachers have a sense of moral education,unfortunately few can transfer this sense into action,which mainly lies in that PE teachers have paid too much attention to the students' sports skill development,that there is an absence of moral aims in PE teaching designs,and that teaching and learning evaluations are not comprehensive.2.Barriers to moral penetration implementation in PE lessons:(a)PE teachers lack the relevant theoretical knowledge;(b)PE teachers,the school and leaders attach little importance to the moral evaluation in physical education;(c)due to some objective causes,such as heavy task of teaching,PE teachers are unable to design the moral part carefully.3.As to how to scientifically penetrate moral education into PE lessons,eight effective penetration methods are put forward,namely,via PE class conventional norms to implement moral education;via model function of PE teachers to implement moral education;via the characteristics of different sporting events to implement moral education;via effective teaching evaluation to implement moral education;via sports celebrity role model effect to implement moral education;via abundant extracurricular activities to implement moral education;via emergencies in class to implement moral education.4.Moral inherent value of Physical Education:(a)value of material aspect lies in that a good material environment has the function of educating people.The construction of the teaching environment is particularly important for students' moral education,such as by decorating sports field,using billboards,slogans and so on.(b)value of institutional aspect lies in that while doing sports,students are subject to the rules of various sports competitions.Students understand and obey different the rules and norms and gradually develop a good sense of norms and the ability to adapt to future social ethics(c)value of spiritual aspect lie in that sports competitions give students the ability treat win and lose properly,cultivate their ablility to overcome difficulty and the ability to deal with interpersonal relationships and develop their strong collective sense of honor.Suggestions are put forward according to the investigation results and the statusquo of moral penetration in physical education in Yantai No.3 Middle School.1.PE teachers should fully understand the task of the physical education curriculum;carry out the teaching principle of both physical and mental development;deal with the relationship between physical education and moral education correctly.2.PE teachers should optimize teaching designs;fully understand teaching guidance,teaching objectives and teaching contents in Sports and Health Curriculum Standards.Only by studying Standards carefully,can the teachers make a scientific teaching design.3.PE teachers and school leaders should improve the teaching evaluation,reform examination system and form correct evaluation concept.From the school's level,to evaluate PE teachers properly,moral education ought to be included in the evaluation system.From the teachers' level,special attention should be paid to the comprehensiveness and diversity of evaluation.4.PE teachers should actively participate in various forms of workshop,learning or related training to improve professional theoretical knowledge.
