As A Branch Of Handicapped Children

As a branch of handicapped children,cerebral palsy children are made to be a special group by both of the congenital and acquired wounds.From the well-known Tangshan earthquake to the world-shaking Sichuan earthquake,there emerged many cases which could be cured or eased by art therapy,such of music or painting(fine art)therapy.As a frontline teacher engaged in the education of fine art,I have witnessed many cerebral palsy children who have too many complaints of themselves or their parents.For alleviating these status,I have been making continually attempts to melt the fine art therapy into the daily teaching for those students.Firstly,I give a brief summarization of the history and characteristics of fine art therapy;then I make a comprehensive comparison of the situations of China and other countries.In the latter section,more efforts are plunged into the investigations into Ren'ai School of Suzhou Industrial Park.I came to their classrooms,talked face to face with them,and thus grasped a full understanding of their psychological processes.I have been carrying out fine art therapy practice in my teaching work for two years.Finally,the effects and problems are summarized;and I also give out my suggestions on the long-lasting development of the fine art therapy for cerebral palsy children.
