With domestic and foreign experts, especially teachers to build students' mental map more and more attention, research on mental maps of the theoretical value and build strategy even more depth and maturity. However, most of the present study are in high school geography-based, and for junior high school students mental map building less theoretical and practical research. Investigate its reason, geography in the examination of the proportion is very low. Affected by this, we do not attach importance to junior high school geography teachers do not pay attention to junior geography, geography student but do not pay attention. In the usual teaching, teaching geography teachers tend to focus on the mechanical memory of knowledge, very few teachers are aware of the important role of mental maps in map skills students. Mental maps as an effective tool for learning geography in junior high school geography teaching has not been given due attention.In this paper, junior high school geography teaching content as a starting point, trying to construct mental maps of teaching psychology experiments to test students in junior high school geography class map in the feasibility and effectiveness, hoping to improve the junior high school geography teachers' understanding of mental maps, thereby enhancing the junior high school geography teaching. First, literature research, analyzes the current situation of domestic and foreign research on mental maps, described the significance of the research, the main research methods, concepts and mental map of this article; secondly, the use of observation, combined with junior high school students mental and physical characteristics and standards of compulsory education curriculum, to develop a mental map of the experimental teaching evaluation; again, on the basis of lot of information on the combination of excellent teachers teaching methods and their own teaching experience, presented in the import, and explain knot Training courses in different aspects of middle school students mental maps teaching strategies; and finally, to be verified by comparing measured before and after experiments, teaching methods can construct mental maps more significant increase students' mental map level.
