With the development of multi-polarization and economic globalization in the world, strengthening the inheritance of traditional music culture in school education is of great significance. Compulsory education is a key stage of traditional music culture, which is characterized by security, universal, compulsory and basic characteristics. The music textbooks of compulsory education are the main carrier of traditional music culture and its inheritance. Just as the saying goes, "the other mountain's stone can polish jade," in this case meaning to borrow from South Korea to improve China's music education textbooks. In this paper, from the perspective of comparative music education, the main use of textual analysis and comparative analysis, are used to explore the experiences and deficiencies of traditional music culture in compulsory education music textbooks in China and South Korea. This research seeks to give suggestions and be used during the revision of China's future music curriculum standards of compulsory education and music textbook compilation. Thus, in order to realize the effective inheritance of Chinese traditional music culture in school education.
