As an ancient oriental civilization,China has a long history of more than five thousand years.From ancient times to the present,the national instrumental music in different periods has played a brilliant and colorful national culture,and Chinese national instrumental music has become an important part of different national cultures.On the basis of clarifying the general situation of Chinese national instrumental music teaching in the stage of compulsory education,this study first discusses the value and significance of learning national instrumental music for primary and secondary school students,then analyses the present situation of Chinese national instrumental music teaching in the stage of compulsory education,and holds that there are two forms of teaching Chinese national instrumental music,namely,appreciation teaching and performance teaching,while music teaching materials are the process of music teaching.It is an indispensable teaching tool.It plays a great role in transferring music knowledge and cultivating students' musical ability.Therefore,the author chooses two editions of music textbooks in compulsory education stage-the audio version and the people's education version as the research object,and refers to the Compulsory Education Music Curriculum Standards(2011 edition),respectively,to study the contents of Chinese national instrumental music in the two editions of music textbooks.This research adopts the methods of documentation,text research,data statistical analysis and comparison.Through the selection of Chinese national instrumental music works and the characteristics of works,the number of works,the style of works,the performance elements of works and the geographical and ethnic distribution of works are analyzed.Then,by comparing the contents of Chinese national instrumental music in the two editions of music textbooks,this paper summarizes their common characteristics and differences,and puts forward some suggestions to improve the problems existing in the contents of Chinese national instrumental music,trying to add some new theories to the research in this field,and also to promote the prosperity of Chinese National instrumental music,promote national music,inherit and develop traditional music culture.
