College counselor team is the main force of college students work.Counselors play a key role in the process of College Students’ growth.Along with the development of the counselor team,the performance appraisal system of college counselors is in an urgent need of optimization.At present,the majority of colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province have taken the management method of the performance appraisal.On the basis of summing up a large number of college performance appraisal system,this article finds out three aspects of the system,the index and the method of the performance appraisal system in Jiangsu Province.In order to find a better solution,especially penetrating into Huaiyin Institute of Technology to conduct an empirical investigation.Through investigation and analysis,the performance appraisal system of Huaiyin Institute of Technology has a mere formality,and has not set up a long-term assessment mechanism.The evaluation index is not comprehensive,the results of the assessment feedback is insufficient,and the use of the assessment results is poor.Pointing at these problems,we put forward the optimization scheme of the performance evaluation of Huaiyin Institute of Technology,and put forward the improvement suggestions on the performance evaluation system,the evaluation system,the evaluation index and the method of assessment,mainly including strengthening the process control,the formation of long-term assessment mechanism;improve the assessment indicators;strengthen the assessment results feedback;strengthen the use of assessment results,etc..The innovation of this research is based on the principle of performance evaluation,and the performance appraisal system is based on a wide range of access to understand the status quo of counselor performance appraisal in Jiangsu province.Through the questionnaire and interview,the problems and causes of the performance appraisal are analyzed,which provides a thought for improving the performance evaluation system of college counselors,and the combination of theory and practice makes up for the lack of empirical research.The research results are helpful to improve the performance evaluation of the University and promote the construction of the counselor team.
