Case Research Work To Intervene Social Rehabilitation For Disabled Children

Disabled children as a part of the social vulnerable groups, they face with more complicated problems and more diversified demands, needing more social concerns and support. It is far from enough solving the problem of survival by existing organization, they need to get psychological support, education rehabilitation, medical recovery and social rehabilitation.as a social worker, our professional identity and role cause us to focus more on social rehabilitation, we should help disabled children to participate in society and integrate into society,boosting their self-confidence,prompting they to dare to interact with people.I take the S children welfare association in S city as the research platform,investigating the problem of disabled children' social rehabilitation with method of observation, interview, literature and so on. Writer find personal element and environmental factor that affect disabled children to realize social rehabilitation, double focus on individual and environment provide intervention direction for me, and offer information to better work subsequent.The paper choose a disabled child from S welfare house as client, using case work method to carry out social rehabilitation work for disabled children. Case concrete implement process is a total of six stages,including receiving case,forecast,plan,intervention, evaluation and settlement. Writer respect client peculiarity and make specific plan after knowing and analyzing information of the client. The plan prompt client to participate in society and integrate into society, and define intervention strategy, including guiding client correct cognition, helping to contact resources,increasing confidence, promoting to participate in the group interaction, exploring potential. finally, author offer suggestions on the four aspects according to the implementation, including constructing social support network for orphaned and disabled children, implementing rearing patterns combined institution raising with foster care, propelling ability building of S institution, building a talent team of social work profession. All these practical methods and existing problems may provide some suggestions for the social worker and some practice evidence for the relevant authorities in formulating policies relating to rehabilitation of disabled children.
