Throughout history,sports have been powerful method of communication.They have been a peaceful model of satisfying humanity's natural instincts for competition and physical prowess.In order to be successful in sports,one requires a lot of practice,discipline,tactics,determination and patience-all skills that help young people to succeed in various areas of their lives.In this context,sports diplomacy,as a new phenomenon in sports,opens new pathways that have the aim to increase dialogue,open new horizons and perspectives,and contribute to greater cultural understanding between the peoples of the world.Sports diplomacy aims to assist in overcoming cultural differences and play an active role in bringing people together.As an activity,the diplomacy in sports first of all means good skills such as leadership,teamwork,respecting the rules and respecting each other or as well as each other's differences.However,there is a more sinister side of using sport diplomacy to reach political goals,such as discrimination against other countries and cultures,boycotts,or the like.In this case,sports diplomacy is becoming a very strong and effective tool.Through media and individuals with authority and respect,certain goals can be reached easily with the right approach.In order to fully understand the term of sport diplomacy itself and its role in modern international relations,this paper analyzes sports principles and using sports as a political tool in international relations from a historical perspective.
