Primary school education is the most basic education during whole life,the implementation of quality education in primary school phase will provide the necessary qualities for the future development of the children.“Outline to National Middle-and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)" highlight the requirement to pay attention to the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality,to enable students to become all-round development socialist builders and successors.Club activity is a complement of the classroom-teaching,is an important and essential part of quality education.Club activity spreads from university and senior school to primary school gradually in recent years,and plays a more and more important role.However,due to the age of primary school students and other distinctive characteristics,there are special problems in carrying out the club activities.In order to maximize the role of club activities in primary education,the club activity in primary school should be studied in-depth and in detail.In China,the study of the club activities in primary school is still in initial stage presently,there is still not enough experience in both theory and practice.In this paper,the necessity and function of club activities in primary school is described,the characteristics of the club activities in primary school are studied,then club activities in Shenxing primary school education group is taken as an example,using observation and interview analysis,to study the successful experience,the main problems and difficulties in the process of club activities in primary school.Finally,some useful suggestions are provided,which can be references for club activities in other primary schools.First of all,this paper studies the development of the student club activities in the historical level at home and abroad in detail,especially the development of Chinese primary school club activities.The harmonious education idea of the scale development on the view of the practice of Marxist philosophy,John Dewey Education theory,Sue Home Riski for in-depth understanding of and construction are understood and built in depth to provide the theoretical basis for the primary school club activities.Secondly,the concepts of "clubs" and "primary school clubs" is described,the characteristics of the club activities in primary school are studied,the necessity and functions of club activities in primary school is described,including the promotion on the grow up of primary school students,on the teachers' professional development,and on the construction of school culture.As the main part of this paper,the club activity in Shenxing primary school education group is taken as an example.The status and main problems of implementation of club activities in primary school is studied.The whole process of the real primary school club activities is presented by analysis of registration,activities,activity display,evaluation,idea and specializations of 66 primary school club activities of the Shenxing primary school education group.By interviewing 3 persons in charge,15 club activity teachers and 60 students,the main problems and difficulties in the process of club activities in primary school is studied in depth,the reasons for these problems were discussed.Finally,based on the interview results,this paper makes a thorough summary of the problems encountered in the primary school club activities,and puts forward some useful suggestions,and strives to provide references for other primary schools.
