This study mainly employs the methods of literature research,action research,experience summarization and survey research.First of all,the study defines the term “reason-and-interest-oriented calligraphy teaching” through clarifying the relationship between the “reason-and-interest-oriented calligraphy teaching” and “the teaching of Chinese characters”,which points out reason-interest-oriented calligraphy teaching has the feature of reason,interest and combination.The study also makes a analysis of its role in Chinese teaching in primary school.Secondly,the study explores ways to solve the problems incurrent calligraphy teaching.Study makes a thorough analysis of main problems in calligraphy teaching,based on which causes of each problem are studied.Focus on writing posture,writing methods and teaching methods,the study produces the solution based on fundamental concept of reason-and-interest-oriented calligraphy teaching.Finally,this paper puts forward the main strategies and concepts of reason-andinterest-oriented calligraphy teaching,which focus on pen stroke,character structure and art of composition to develop the potential reason and interest contained in calligr-aphy so as to help conduct character teaching comprehensively and enhance the depth and width of calligraphy teaching.
