The Study Of The Transition Of Jincheng Radio And TV University

With colleges and universities enrollment expansion,modern long-distance education advance and all kinds of adult education appearance,Radio and TV universities met unprecedented development difficulties in recent years.With the rapid development of our social economy and the popularization of senior education,people have increased the demands for life-long education.China proposed that Radio and TV universities transformed into Open Universities in education reformation in 2010.Shanghai Open University was built as the first Open university in China.Then many Radio and TV universities were starting to transform into Open Universities all over the country.Open University represents new concept and new direction of our senior education.So Open University which plays an important role in our life-long education and learning society is a new trend of our senior educational reform in the future.The paper focused on Jincheng Radio and TV university(Jincheng RTVU)and analyzed the development,status quo and problems of Jincheng RTVU through using document analysis method,comparative study method and on-the-spot observing method.Jincheng RTVU has contributed to talent cultivation,economic development and social progress in the university's 30 year history.However,Jincheng RTVU has met development bottleneck in intense education market.Following the old development mode and education policy by the superior competent authority,Jincheng RTVU is unable to realize sustainable development.This paper analyzed the theory and practice of Open University and extracted the practice experience of Open University at home and abroad.Then the paper analyzed current problems of RTVU,such as Non-autonomy in running schools,insufficient funds,insufficient teacher and teaching resources construction.At last,the paper tried to raise some suggestions for Jincheng RTVU combining advanced experience of Open University at home and abroad,such as the government providing support,creating management system,increasing funds and teaching resources,enlarging the school fields.
