With the stipulation of the new Chinese curriculum standard in 2000, it raises new requirements for Chinese subject teaching ideas, teaching materials and methods, and so on. The new curriculum standard requires that Chinese language education should not only pay attention to making students learn language knowledge and develop language ability, but also pay attention to improving students' language literacy comprehensively. For the "experiential learning" theory, it advocates students as the main body and emphasizes students' comprehension, experience and insight for literature, which is in line with the new curriculum ideas. In the process of senior-high Chinese reading instruction, carrying out experiential learning is beneficial to improving overall quality of students and meeting the needs of overall development of students.Therefore, the writer chooses "experiential learning" for learning Chinese reading as the research subject. This thesis mainly includes six parts:for the first part, it is the introduction that points out the purpose and significance of the title, research status of "experiential learning" at home and abroad, and so on; For the second part, it explains the "experiential learning" theory in detail; For the third, fourth and fifth part, they discuss how to apply the "experiential learning" theory to improving teaching efficiency of senior high school Chinese reading from teaching objectives, teaching content and teaching methods respectively; The sixth part, conclusion for this article, some brief induction and summary about the main points was made.In conclusion, the experiential learning can not only help students acquire language knowledge and skills, but also promote students to achieve effective interaction and improve humanistic quality.
