The new trend of current education reform in both at home and abroad is aimed at cultivating students'learning ability and forming the student--oriented educational mode. Although the teaching principle has been changed, the teaching mode brings little effect. In the secondary politics teaching, the traditional teacher--oriented mode fails to foster the comprehensive ability of the students and lets the students to play a passive role, although this mode is favorable to develop teacher's dominance and facilitate the classroom organization, management, regulation. In the thesis, after affirming the " teacher--oriented mode", it shifts to talk about the indigenous student--oriented mode. The thesis uses documentary research method, questionnaire method, expert interview method and so on. The thesis analyze the drawback of " student--oriented " mode on the basis of modern teaching principle. According to the politics textbook and student's situation, we should flexibly choose the teaching mode, make sound politics plan, improve the efficiency of self-study, enhance the cooperation of the group, finish the classroom exercise and feedback, pay attention to achieve the goal of emotion?attitude and values. These strategies should be taken in the " student--oriented " teaching mode.
