Study On The Pattern Of Single Family Name Settlement In South Fujian Province As A Social Structure Representation

The development of traditional settlements takes the social environment as the background, and in China, the traditional society dominates all aspects of social life. Study the relationship and expression between society and space from the perspective of social structure, contributing to better understanding of the traditional settlement pattern and its formation and development causes. In promoting the rapid urbanization in China, this paper contributes to a complete understanding of traditional settlements, helps to put forward scientific and effective measures for the protection and development of traditional settlement characteristics.This paper clarifies the concept of clan, clan settlement and social structure, analyzes the kinship structure and belief structure; In order to control variable like economic, culture and politics, choosing the settlement with complete form, clear social structure in Minnan single family name villages as research objects, confirming eight single family name settlements in Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Kinmen as the research sample, analyzing the social structure, settlement pattern, discussing the relationship between social structure and settlement pattern; using Syntax Theory to research the relationship in structure system between clan settlement physical space and its ethically social space; Takes Shanhe, Zhangzhou as an example, analyzing the social structure, proposing settlement protection development advice according to the research results.
