Empirical Analysis On The Coordinated Development Of Population And Economy In Fujian Province

As the basic elements of human society,population and economic development stay closely with each other.The development of economy has a huge impact on population and,without a considerable economy,humans can not live and develop themselves.Meanwhile,the population has a big influence on the economic development as well,for any changes happened to the population will lead to changes in our society.Hence to make sure of coordinated development between economy and population development is of great importance to the sustainable development of society.Nowadays,the unbalanced development still exists in population and economy development in Fujian province.The gap between rural and coastal area is huge and the discordant development between population and economy is increasingly obvious,which impedes the sustainable development of Fujian province.Under such circumstance,the analysis on population and economy development in Fujian province is of great importance.To make this thesis clearer,I consulted plenty of thesises both at home and abroad for reference,reviewed the research results of those professors who conduct researches on population and economic development,made clear of the theory of coordinated development systematically,defined the concept of coordinated development between population and economy,and analyzed the interaction mechanism of coordinated development between population and economy in detail.Otherwise,based on relevant statistical data,this thesis described the present situation of the development of population and economic in Fujian province;and built the econometric model of interaction between population and economy,which enables me to make a empirical analysis on their interaction relationship.The results show that firstly,the increasing population does not obviously enhance the economy development and vice versa;secondly,the economy development increases the number of beds in health care institutions per 10,000 persons but,it doesn't enhance the average education years as well;thirdly,the more decrease of population in primary industry and the more increase of population in tertiary industry,the faster the economy develops;lastly,the economy development will greatly increase the net migration and the urbanization also accelerate the development of economy.Again,I built the index system on population and economy of Fujian province,confirmed the overall development level of population and economic development in Fujian by using PCA,constructed the coordinated development model,and worked out the coordinated coefficient between Fujian's population and economy in relevant years.And analyzed the elements which may influence the coordinated development of Fujian's population and economy.The result shows that firstly,from 2001 to 2014(except 2002,2003,2010,2012,2013,2014),the coordination degree of population and economy in Fujian is "coordinated",which means a coordinated development has been achieved;secondly,in terms of population,the average education year,the proportion of population in primary industry,the number of beds in health care institutions,and the proportion of population in tertiary industry influence the coordination between population and economy development in Fujian province.And in terms of economy,the dependence of foreign trade,GDP per person,GDP,and the proportion of output value in primary industry have great influence on the coordinated development of Fujian's population and economy.Lastly,based on the conclusions above and the reality in Fujian,I put forward some related advice on policy.
