Achievement Motivation Of The Master And Its Effects On The Scientific Research Activities

Achievement motivation drives people to engage in meaningful,difficult and challenging activities that are important to them,and strive to achieve the best results and achievements of others.Scientific research is the basis of the formation,development and expansion of modern graduate education,an important part of graduate education and an important source of social innovation.Through the literature review,this study found that although the scientific research is an important feature of graduate education,the graduate research activities have not received enough attention.Based on this,the researcher applies the classic achievement motivation theory to postgraduate research activities,which contributes to the promotion of scientific research activities and educational function and helps to improve the quality of postgraduate education.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships between achievement motivation and scientific research activities and the influence mechanism that achievement motivation influences postgraduate research activities,in order to have a deeper understanding of the law of postgraduate education and to lead to scientific and rational organization and guidance of students to participate in scientific research activities.Through comprehensive evaluation of postgraduate research activities from the target,investment and performance,this study eventually gets an overall view of the performance of postgraduate students,which is different from the research that only focus on results of scientific research activities.This research aims to have a more comprehensive understanding of scientific research activities and their relationship with achievement motivation.That is,from the perspective of the process,the researcher divides the research into three parts:the scientific research goal,the scientific research input and the scientific research performance.Quantitative research methods are the main methods of this study.With the Achievement Motivation Scale and scientific research scale as the main research tools,this study conducted a questionnaire survey on H university graduate students,420 questionnaires were done,which includes 390 valid questionnaires.Due to the limited research conditions,the questionnaire survey was conducted in the library and the graduate student dormitory.The results of descriptive analysis showed that the proportion of samples in gender,grade and other variables can meet the needs of the research.Based on the analysis of the survey data by SPSS 23 and Amos24,the researchers put forward the mechanism model of influence of achievement motivation on graduate research activities,namely "CAR" model.The model consists of three parts,namely the background variables(Contextual Variables),achievement motivation(Achievement Motivation)and research(Research Activities).The "CAR"model can help us to understand and improve the current situation of postgraduate research.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:First,achievement motivation has a significant positive effect on the overall performance of scientific research activities.Achievement motivation has significant positive predictive effects on the three aspects of scientific research(scientific research,scientific research,and scientific research performance).Second,the indirect effects of achievement motivation,through the mediating variables(internal factors),on the scientific research activities are significant and positive.Third,the indirect effect of external pressure,through the mediating variables on the scientific research activities,is significant(internal factors),and it is a positive predictor.Fourth,the indirect effect of the internal factors(scientific research expectation,scientific research value and professional identity),through the mediating variable the goal of research,on the input and performance of scientific research are significant.Additionally,the indirect effect of the internal factors,through the scientific research investment,on scientific performance is significant.Fifth,through the mediating variable the goal of research,the aim of scientific research has a positive effect on the performance of scientific research,and the indirect effect is significant.
