Research On Montessori Preschool Teachers' Belief

Educational ethos are based on the teachers' belief,that means only this kind of education,can raise teachers' expectations for the future,and can be more inspiring to build up for others'belief.The preschool teachers' belief is an important factor in the stability of a teaching team,however,we only have a few domestic study on this topic.In recent years Montessori Education has been gaining recognition in China,the belief shown in certificated Montessori teachers' abilities is what the researcher have been interested in and wanted to understand.The researcher hopes that the research will provide references for Montessori teachers and public system teachers' belief cultivation.The researcher took time to read Montessori works,and in a theoretical perspective to sorted out her views on children,education and teachers,in this three dimensions to summarize the Montessori teachers' belief.In consideration of the research purpose,the researcher chose some of the AMI and AMS certificated teachers as subjects.In addition to interviews and observations together for the research methods to figure out the practical point of teachers' belief and then make a contrast of the theoretical and practical teachers' belief.This study find out,the theory of the teachers' belief is agreed with the practice,and the factors of changing times and teachers' background keeps the belief having differences and features.According to the results of this study,the researcher gave out some suggestions as followed:1.preschool teachers' belief cultivation should connect with their background.2.Preschool teachers' belief need the support from educational practices.3.The ideal and the reality of preschool teachers' belief should keep in the same direction,and also need to have more differences and features;4.The development of preschool teachers'belief needs a healthy,positive culture environment.
