In recent years,the problem of teachers' survival and development is one of the most heated topics in China's education circle.The circle has closely related the study in this field to relevant policies and first-line practice constantly.With the introduction and gradual implementation of the relevant policies such as Rural Teacher Support Program(2015-2020),the relevant issues concerning the survival and development of rural teachers have once again aroused strong attention and heated discussion from education circle and even all sectors of society.As the backbone of domestic rural education,rural teachers occupy a decisive position in improving the basic education quality in rural areas,solving the fairness of urban and rural education and even comprehensively building up a well-off society.However,whether in policy considerations or academic research nowadays,the construction of rural teacher team is often discussed as a whole,which scarcely takes gender into consideration.In fact,the rural young male teachers and female teachers suffer different difficulties in the material survival,spiritual survival and career development and so on so forth.As a result,this paper sets forth from the gender and Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to conduct a specialized research on the current situations of survival and development of the young male teachers in the rural areas of western China.In addition,it also profoundly analyzes the various obstacles and factors that affect the survival and development of young male teachers in rural areas,which are undoubtedly of great practical significance.This paper takes the rural young male teachers in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,Shaanxi Province and Chongqing provinces as the main survey objects to obtain the first-hand information about the survival and development of rural young male teachers through questionnaires and interviews.In this way the main obstacles for rural young male teachers to take root in the main rural education can be analyzed,and hence the paper puts forward the relevant improvement measures.This study hopes to be able to integrate gender into the construction system of domesticrural teacher team in current and future period,thus effectively broadening the overall perspective of the construction of rural teacher team and then strengthening the overall construction of rural teacher team so as to effectively promote the development of rural education.This study is mainly composed of the following parts:The first part is the introduction,which concretely clarifies the reasons for choosing the topic and the research significance.At the same time,on the basis of the definition of the core concept,it combs the current status,characteristics and shortcomings of the research in order to explicit the future research direction and focus on the topic.The second part is the research design which elaborates the research objectives,the research focus,the research method and the research tool(namely,the basic contents,the concrete process of the investigation and the collation and analysis of the final data obtained from the questionnaire)in detail.The third,fourth and fifth parts are the core contents of this study.Based on the analysis of the data surveyed,the paper takes an objective and meticulous analysis as well as a rational thinking on the current survival situation of rural young male teachers from the material survival,spiritual survival and occupational survival.The sixth part is to analyze the influencing factors,aiming to dissect the possible factors influencing the living condition of the rural young male teachers.It is based on the general factors affecting the rural young male teachers during analysis process.What's more,by combing the relevant research achievements of social gender,the paper probes into the influences of the survival status of rural young male teachers caused by orientation of social value,government policy,corresponding guarantee factors and the teacher's main content factors.The seventh part is about the countermeasures and suggestions.Based on the investigation and analysis of the relevant samples as well as the elaboration on possible factors which may influence the living conditions of rural young male teachers,it tries utmost to eliminate the gender stereotypes,improve the rural education system,construct the rural cultural ecology and appeal to the subjectivityand life self-consciousness for rural young male teachers so as to provide conductive reference and thinking for effectively improving the survival status of rural young teachers and speeding up the overall construction of rural teacher team.
