Chemical modeling is an important scientific method,which is a process to solve chemical problems simplify the complex chemical questions to abstract chemical model using chemical language and methods.In a word,the establishment of chemical model is chemical modeling.In the middle school chemistry teaching,the chemical teachers should focus on training students' ability of chemical modeling,this can not only strengthen the students' understanding and mastery chemical knowledge,but also help students to set up and use the model.Besides,let students to understand and apply scientific methods to improve the students' chemistry core literacy.The ability of chemical modeling of middle school students can be divided into three parts: the ability to construct chemical model,the test ability of chemical model and the application ability of chemical model.However,students at different learning stages have different levels of chemical modeling.In order to improve the students' ability of chemical modeling,teachers should focus on cultivating students' ability of modeling in different learning stages.Chemistry teaching should emphasize the importance of establishing the model,the students should not only learn to set up the chemical model of meaning,but also experience the whole process of establishing the model in chemistry learning,so as to cultivate ability of chemical modeling.However,the development of chemical modeling ability of students is not easy,it need to combine cognitive development and students,which is "learning advanced".Learning advanced is based on experience,testable hypotheses,to reveal the development law of the students.The development of students' modeling ability is reflected in the process of learning and students' modeling ability in different process of gradually deepening.The construction of training students' ability of chemistry model is developing.Developing gradually the chemistry students' modeling ability based on students' cognitive development law,which makes students more skilled in this scientific method and enhances the core chemical literacy of students.In order to understand chemical modeling level of the students in different stages,we use a self-designed questionnaire survey of middle school chemistry modeling ability,respectively on different stages of learning to search and analysis students' physical structure modeling ability in different levels ofdifferent learning stages,and then guide the design of teaching and improve the students' ability of chemical modeling.Based on the above understanding,we obtained the following conclusions through investigation and study:(1)The modeling process of students can be divided into simplified chemical problems,construction of model,checking of model and applications of chemical model,the corresponding ability of these four processes is the inevitable elements of modeling ability in middle school chemistry.(2)The modeling ability of middle school students in different stages is different.The levels of high school two grade students are generally higher than the junior high school students and high school grade one students;(3)Third grade students have the ability to construct a simple chemical model,but the checking and application ability of chemical model is generally low.High school grade one students can master the construction of chemical model,and the ability of chemical model test and application ability is not as good as that of the second grade students.It can be seen that there are significant differences in the level of chemical modeling of students at different learning stages;(4)Constructing of advanced learning in the chemical modeling ability(based on the material structure as the theme):Level 1: a simple model of the material structure,simplified and built the model;Level 2: Students can be able to test whether the model is correct or not;Level 3: Students can be able to skillfully use the model;Level 4: The ability to solve the above problems in the chemical structure is necessary.(5)The chemistry teaching should be permeated with the education of the scientific method of chemical modeling,putting forward the teaching design which is beneficial to the development of the modeling ability of the middle school students,and cultivating the ability of the students to establish and use the model.
