The implementation of New Curriculum Reform puts forward a series of new requirements and challenges for the English teaching of junior middle schools,especially in the English Curriculum Standards(2011 edition),the cultivation of four language skills which are listening,speaking,reading and writing is emphasized.Writing plays a very important part in the four language skills,meanwhile,it is also the important and difficult point in English teaching in basic education.With the combination of technology and education,the flipped classroom,a new kind of teaching model,gradually integrates into the traditional classroom.In this teaching model,students learn by themselves before class through micro videos and other materials,and discuss the homework with teachers in class to flip the class.The author attempts to narrate the goals and requirements of English writing in Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard(2011 edition)and analyze the current situation of English writing in junior middle school,combine with the flipped classroom teaching model and put forward a hypothesis.After that,the author takes three rounds of action research on the flipped classroom-based English writing teaching,which tries to construct a new flipped classroom-based English writing teaching model in junior middle school and aims to analyze the application of flipped classroom on English writing teaching.The result of the research is used to improve the effectiveness of writing teaching of teachers and the English writing ability of students.This thesis is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,including background,purpose and significance of the research.The current situation of English writing teaching and learning in junior middle school also is presented.Through the preliminary analysis of the questionnaire on students' English writing,the author puts forward a hypothesis to solve the writing problems.Literature review is presented in chapter two,in which the application research status on flipped classroom at home and abroad is introduced.The third chapter mainly presents the concept of flipped classroom and its theoretical basis.The methodology of the research is introduced in Chapter four.In Chapter five,the process of the implementation of the action research is presented.Data collection and analysis of the questionnaire and protest and posttest are displayed in Chapter six.Chapter seven draws the conclusion on the research and proposes somesuggestions on the application of flipped classroom of English writing teaching in junior middle school.In this chapter,the author at the same time describes the limitations and prospects for the future study.
