With the rapid development of economy and the process of urbanization,a growing number of students in regular senior high schools in urban-rural fringe have been faced with the following problems: no clear learning objectives,lack of learning independence,lack of learning consciousness and lack of good learning habits.In these circumstances the author thinks that students have not formed the correct learning values.Therefore,this paper studies the learning values of regular senior high school students in such urban-rural fringe.The study,first of all,investigates the current situation of regular senior high school students' learning values in urban-rural fringe through questionnaires and interviews.The results show that while the students have good learning values generally,a vast majority of students do not have clear specific goals.Between different genders arises no remarkable difference in the overall learning values.However,girls are more likely to have specific learning goals than boys,while boys are slightly better than girls in learning methods.In terms of the grade,the overall learning values and the purpose of learning values of reach the highest in Senior One,lowest in Senior Two,and somewhat higher in Senior Three,with no significant difference in the learning methods.The Parents' educational background has basically the same influences on the learning values of senior high school students in this area.In general,the higher the parental education is,the better the children's learning values are.With different family economic conditions come no significant differences in the overall learning values and methods of learning values,while the value of the objective learning is significantly enhanced with the increase of household income.Through the analysis of the current situation,considering the influence of different factors,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures: to seek the support of social forces,to seek the common participation of the family,to play the core role of the school.
